Karyn has always had a love of animals, growing up with pets includes dogs, birds, fish, guinea pigs and reptiles.
She has always wanted to work with animals and completed a Bachelor of Animal Science from UWS in 2009.
She then split her time between volunteering at the Australian Reptile Park and working at a boarding kennel in the northern beaches where she worked her way up the ranks to become facility manager.
4 years later she decided to follow her original plan of working in a vet clinic and has been a valued team member of Figtree since 2014. You will often see her friendly face at our reception desk, waiting to greet you and your fur baby.
Karyn has a strong interest in animal behaviour and dog training and spends her spare time competing in agility and obedience trials with her two Australian Koolies Banjo & Gypsy.
In 2016 & 2017 Banjo was awarded the most obedient dog in his in the state in his level, by Dogs NSW.
In 2019 Banjo became an obedience champion. Gypsy is fast following in his footsteps.”
